American James Dondero is a businessman, a chartered financial analyst (CFA), an investor, and a certified management accountant (CMA). He is perhaps most famous for being the co-founder of Highland Capital Management (HCM). He opened the business in 1993 with his old friend James Okada. Dondero is in charge of handling distressed investments and managing hedge funds.
